For Riders
Simply download the RydeX app, set your pickup location and destination, choose your preferred ride type, and tap "Request Ride". We will match you with the nearest available driver.
RydeX supports multiple payment options for your convenience. You can pay with cash directly to the driver, or use digital methods like mobile money and credit/debit cards linked to your account.
Safety is our top priority. All drivers undergo thorough background checks and document verification. You can share your live trip status with friends or family, and every ride is tracked via GPS in real-time.
Fares are calculated based on the distance of the trip, the estimated duration, and the current demand (base fare). You will always see an upfront price estimate before you confirm your ride booking.
Yes! RydeX allows you to schedule rides in advance. Simply select the "Schedule" option in the app and choose your preferred date and time for pickup.
If you lose an item, contact our support team immediately through the app. We will help you connect with the driver to arrange a safe return of your belongings.
Once your trip starts, tap the "Share Status" button in the app. This allows you to send a live tracking link to your friends or family via SMS or messaging apps, so they know exactly where you are.
At the end of every trip, you will be prompted to rate your experience from 1 to 5 stars. You can also leave a comment. Your feedback helps us maintain a high-quality community of drivers.
For Drivers
Signing up is easy. You can start the process directly on our website under the "Drivers" section or download the RydeX Driver app. You will need to provide your valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance documents for verification.
RydeX offers the fairest rates in the industry. We charge a 10% commission for commercial drivers and 15% for private drivers, which includes all payment processing fees. This ensures you keep the bulk of your earnings.
Earnings from digital payments are processed and can be withdrawn to your mobile money wallet or bank account. Withdrawals are typically processed within a few minutes. Bank withdrawals can take up to 24 hours. Cash payments are collected directly from riders at the end of each trip.
We accept a wide range of vehicles, including standard cars (sedans), SUVs, and in some regions, motorcycles and tricycles. All vehicles must meet our safety and age requirements and undergo a physical inspection.
No, there are no hidden fees. Our commission rates (10% for commercial and 15% for private) are inclusive of everything. We believe in transparency and ensuring our partners earn as much as possible.
Your safety is critical. Use the in-app emergency button to immediately connect with our 24/7 safety team. We also recommend setting up emergency contacts in your profile who will be notified in case of an incident.
You can update your personal details and vehicle documents directly in the "Profile" section of the Driver app. Note that certain changes, like adding a new vehicle, may require a brief review and approval by our team.
Yes, you have the flexibility to drive wherever you prefer within the regions where RydeX operates. You can go online and offline at your convenience, giving you full control over your work schedule and location.
For Delivery
Open the RydeX app, tap "Delivery", enter your pickup and dropoff addresses, describe your package (category, size, and any special notes), add the recipient's name and phone number, and confirm your fare estimate. We'll match you with a nearby courier within minutes.
We support documents, food, fragile items, and general goods in three sizes: Small (S), Medium (M), and Large (L). Ensure your package is properly sealed and labelled before handoff. Prohibited items include hazardous materials, illegal goods, and any item that violates local law.
Fares are based on the distance between pickup and dropoff, the package size, and your chosen vehicle type. You'll see an upfront fare estimate before confirming your delivery. For roundtrip deliveries (where the courier returns to you), a higher fare applies to cover the return leg.
A roundtrip delivery means the courier picks up your package, delivers it to the recipient, waits briefly, and then returns to you — useful when you need the courier to bring something back (e.g., signed documents, returned goods, or empty containers).
When the courier arrives at the dropoff location, the recipient receives a 4-digit OTP via the app or SMS. The courier enters this OTP to confirm successful delivery. Optionally, a photo is taken at pickup and a digital signature can be captured at dropoff for full proof of delivery.
Yes. From the moment your courier is en route, you can follow their location live on a map in the RydeX app. You'll receive notifications at each stage: courier arriving, package picked up, in transit, and delivered.
Report it immediately through the app using the "Report an Issue" option on your delivery. You can file a missing item report or describe any damage with supporting photos. Our support team will review the report and follow up within 24 hours.
Delivery supports the same payment methods as rides: cash, mobile money (MTN MoMo, AirtelTigo), and card payments. You can select your preferred method before confirming the delivery.
Yes. After every completed delivery, you'll be prompted to rate your courier from 1 to 5 stars and leave optional feedback. Couriers can also rate senders. Ratings help maintain quality across our delivery network.
If the recipient cannot be reached, the courier will wait for a brief period. If no contact is made, the delivery may be cancelled or, for roundtrip orders, the courier will return the package to you. You'll be notified throughout the process and may incur a wait fee for extended delays.
