Driver Guide
A comprehensive walk-through on using the RydeX Driver application effectively.
Step 1: Sign Up
Open the app, select Sign Up, and fill in your official name, email, phone number (+233), and a secure password.
Step 2: OTP Verification
Check your phone or email for a One-Time Password (OTP) and enter it in the app to verify your identity.
Step 3: Sign In
Access your dashboard by entering your registered email or phone number and password.
Step 4: Password Recovery
If you forget your password, use the "Forgot Password" feature to reset it via email or phone verification.
Step 5: Required Permissions
Allow Location access ("Always" or "While Using App") and Notifications to receive ride offers and alerts.
Guide Note: These permissions are essential for the app to function correctly.
Step 1: Personal Information
Provide your legal name, date of birth, gender, address, and an emergency contact number.
Step 2: National ID Verification
Select National ID KYC, enter your ID details, and upload clear photos of the front and back of your ID card.
Step 3: Vehicle Details
Enter your vehicle's VIN/Chassis number to auto-fill details, or manually enter the make, model, category, and license plate. Upload photos of the front, back, side, and interior.
Step 4: Payment Details Setup
Set up where you receive earnings by verifying your Mobile Money wallet (MTN, Telecel, AT) or Bank Account details.
Step 1: Manage Status
Slide the toggle on the home screen to "Online" to start receiving ride offers, or "Offline" to stop.
Step 2: Receiving Ride Offers
When an offer appears, review the pickup, destination, distance, and estimated fare. Tap Accept within 15-30 seconds.
Step 1: Active Trip Flow
Tap Navigate to reach the rider, then Arrived. Once the rider is in, tap Start Trip. Tap Complete Trip at the destination.
Step 2: Reporting Issues
Report problems during a trip via the details screen. Select a category, describe the issue, and optionally add photos.
Step 1: Withdraw Funds
Withdraw a minimum of GHS 10.00 to your linked Mobile Money or Bank account from the Wallet screen.
Step 2: Add Funds
Top up your wallet via Card, Online payment, or Mobile Money by following the in-app authorization steps.
Step 1: Messaging Riders
Use the secure in-app chat for coordination, like notifying the rider "I'm at the gate", without revealing your phone number.
Step 1: Account Security
Keep your account safe by updating your password regularly under Settings > Change Password.
Step 2: App Preferences
Switch between English and other languages, or toggle Light and Dark modes for better visibility.
